Retaining Walls

We offer 2 main types of retaining walls, the Pole Type and Block Type

Pole Type

This type of retaining wall is very cost effective, visually appealing and an efficient way to retain ground on a variety of sites, especially those that are steep.

While the whole wall has to be strong enough to support the load pressing against it, it’s the part below the ground that anchors it. No matter how sturdy the upper part of a wall is, the footings/foundations need to be solid.

Good drainage behind and/or through the wall is very important, so one of the main tasks in building this type of wall is to drain water out.

When constructing pole retaining walls less excavation is required and construction is quicker than other systems

There are many different looks you can create to establish interesting outdoor areas or “rooms” on a property. These will enhance your overall design and add value to your home.

The keystone system is available in a range of subtle colours, call us to visit you onsite.

Walls over 900mm high need an engineers input. An engineer may also need to create a specify design for your wall, depending on soils, slopes, traffic and proximity to boundary.
